## Laurens Nys.

Ortelian is founded and led by Laurens Nys. He builds the platform and works directly with customers, from the first audit through implementation and ongoing operation.

His focus is how agents understand a business, how the work needs to change and what it takes to put AI into daily use. He writes about these questions in Ortelian’s notes.

## Useful AI starts with understanding the work.

To take on responsibility, an agent needs to know the business: its people, systems, commitments and the world it operates in. It needs a clear standard for good work, limits on what it can do and a way to learn from what happens.

That is why Ortelian brings the platform and the implementation together. We work on site, redesign the process with the people who know it, and build the agents and the world model they work from. What goes into use becomes the foundation for the next piece of work.
